Year 1 have started to paint their planters, we are enjoying creating ourselves on the planters, Can you tell who is who?
This years sacramental programme class met for the first time this year during the 11.30 Mass at Our Lady’s Church. It is a big group with children from other schools as well. We spent our time together today getting to know each other. We are looking forward to going on this exciting journey together.
At Our Lady’s we begin the school year with Holy Mass. The children who have made their First Holy Communion in the previous academic year are invited to dress in their special clothes they wore on the occasion of their First Holy Communion.
In the Gospel reading, Jesus tells us ‘to love one another’. All at Our Lady’s will strive to do this in our play and in our work.
After Holy Mass, the Communion children celebrated with a party!
It’s always nice to hear how ex pupils of our school are doing but we were particularly pleased (but not surprised) to hear that Enoma has been announced as head girl at our feeder school, Loreto High School. Enoma is one of the junior catechists at Our Lady’s Church and helps Carrie with the sacramental programme – well done Enoma, we are proud of you.
Year 2 have started to paint their vegetable patch, we have been busy preparing the beds for some new seeds and bulbs. To make our bed stand out even more we have been painting them. We designed them in class and are busy transfering the class ideas to the beds. Hopefully you will be able to notice them from the playground as we have been using bright colours.
