We are learning about The Great Fire of London so have started our own Bakery….we made our plain white bread today, it was yummy. We will be making different breads over the next two weeks.

Year 5 had a great day trip to Debdale. As well as some very exciting times testing out their ‘rafts’, they went on a speedboat, had a swim in the lake and went on a nature walk.

We read the book ‘Bumpus Jumpus Dinosaurumpus’. We used the instruments to create sounds that match the dinosaurs movements and sounds. After such a ‘Dino Rumpus’ we were exhausted so we had a dino nap!

In our science lessons, we have been looking at how plants grow. So in an art lesson we drew Kayde’s bean plant and different pieces of fruit. It was really tricky because we had to look carefully at all the details. We did a great job! What do you think?

We have been investigating nets of cubes, we had fun trying to predict which nets would make a cube.

Thursday 27^th June was the Feast Day of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour. We looked at some images of Mary, and had some biscuits and a nice cool ice lolly.

The whole school took part in the Manchester Big Read….at 2pm we all stopped what we were doing and read a book……what a great idea.

We had our very own Spice girls in town. Elsie had been teaching the other Spice’s a routine from her dance class….remember Spice Up Your Life…see yah Hold tight!

Year Two have been following the Women’s World Cup, each child had a team to support, and we are now down to the final eight. We had a penalty shoot out to see which teams would go through…..we predicted The USA will win….we hope we are wrong…Come on England!!!

We have a signed football for the child with the winning team.
