Y4 having been thoroughly enjoying preparing the school grounds for Spring in their Gardening session with Mr Nolan.
We have been exploring the human digestive system and identifying the different parts of the body in Science.
Children have been excited to use the Trundel wheels in maths to measure, record and calculate the perimeter of our playground.
We have been learning about persuasive writing and phrases in English leading to some very passionate debates in class on a variety of topics. Children have been sharing their views and opinions clearly and respectfully on a variety of topics.
What a treat it was this week to enjoy a second meeting with the wonderfully talented poet Matt Goodfellow – discovering more about the freedom of poetry and what inspires some of his most creative writing.
Children have continued their work on ‘Community’ and discussed all those communities they belong to. We have explored the importance of team work and how we can all help to be proactive in keeping them strong!
