Reception Green Screen Fun!

Last term, pupils in Reception class learnt how to make their own Green Screen photos and videos. To fit in with their topic ‘All About Themselves’ they first found and saved an image on Safari to use as their backdrop. They then worked in pairs using the iPad app Green Screen by DoInk to capture either a photo or video in front of the green backdrop. They then superimposed their saved background image to make it appear as if they were really there! View their fantastic creations below …

Year 5 Maths Spreadsheet Quizzes

In Computing, pupils in Year 5 have been making their own maths quizzes in Excel. They used spreadsheet formulae to to calculate the answers and then used the conditional formatting tool to instruct each answer cell to turn red or green depending on whether the player inputs the correct answer. Why not have a go yourself! Put your answer into the answer cell and if it goes green you have the correct answer but if it goes red your answer is incorrect!

Please can you show them the kind of comments that you should be leaving online, by commenting positively on the pictures that they drew in class. Thank you 🙂
