Year 5 Maths Spreadsheet Quizzes

In Computing, pupils in Year 5 have been making their own maths quizzes in Excel. They used spreadsheet formulae to to calculate the answers and then used the conditional formatting tool to instruct each answer cell to turn red or green depending on whether the player inputs the correct answer. Why not have a go yourself! Put your answer into the answer cell and if it goes green you have the correct answer but if it goes red your answer is incorrect!

Interactive Advent Calendar By Nursery Class

In Computing this week, Nursery class have been making their own interactive advent calendar! After recording their Christmas video message they then helped Mr Edmondson to choose a suitable background image before adding in the numbers for each of the days leading up to the 25th (Christmas day). They used the app Pic Collage to do this. Finally Mr Edmondson added in each separate video using the app Thinglink (this is what makes the poster interactive)! Remember don’t press on the number until it’s that date!

Here’s your very own interactive advent calendar, featuring a festive message from each of the children in our Nursery class…
